It is stamped Q66 (in the factory gothic script) by the manufacturer "Quist" F.W. Quist, Esslingen/Neckar. There is also a rolling mill heating batch number E172 stamped to the inside of the crown. An impressive, original M17 stahlhelm stamped Si62 Eisenhuette Silesia, Paruschowitz Oberschlesien. It was produced in factory Feldgrun & was later painted winter camouflage. An original Austro Hungarian Model M1874 Linnemann Feldspaten dated 1883 & stamped LM. This is the very first model - the second model M1887 did not appear for four years. All hardware in M15 "Feldgrau" is original & complete. The spike removes & is a firm fit. The spine strap vent operates properly.
