RAAF Water Jug Circa 1938
Provenance RAAF Richmond NSW. An 3 Pint Water Jug which was in service during operations 1939 - 1945. The burgundy & gold banding signifies the officer's mess (blue is the sergeant's mess & black is the airmen's mess). It is labelled North Staffordshire Pottery Co. Ltd. Cobridge to the base & from my research was made circa 1938. The Royal Australian Air Force coat of arms is displayed to the side in burgundy. It stands 7 1/2" tall & presents in perfect, undamaged condition.
