Please note that the modern roundyard suitable for horses is extremely light and flexible, and able to absorb an impact should an accident occur. Heavy timbers or heavy steel panels of five or six rails are designed to suit cattle and are no longer considered safe for horse or rider!
Your roundyard should be the safest possible place to work with your horse - so if there is an accident - the panel should absorb the impact of a collision rather than causing injury to the horse or rider. Our philosophy is a simple one - "Better a bent panel than broken bones".
SIZE MATTERS
This roundyard consists of 15 panels and a gate which makes approximately 40 metres of fence to form a standard round yard of 40 feet or 12.25 metres in diameter.
Extra panels are available at $95.00 each should you wish to make your yard larger.
Four extra panels turn a forty feet yard into a fifty feet yard, and a further four panels makes a sixty feet yard.
40 feet = 12.25metres, 50 feet = 15.25metres and 60 feet = 18.25metres
(These are the International Standard Sizes)

PANEL DETAILS
Each panel has FOUR Rails and is 8 feet by 6 feet or 2.4m long x 1.8 high, made from new galvanised steel using Minimum Weld Technology. The panels are Australian designed and made (not imported) and from New Australian steel which is hot dip galvanised (unlike many cheap imported panels that are gal sprayed on the outside only and rust from the inside.)
Connection bolts are supplied.
Ride Through Double Arch - BOW GATE
The central feature of any roundyard is the gate which is a double arch bow gate measuring 2.4m or eight feet high and six feet or 1.8 m wide. The most impressive feature of this gate is the opening system. It can be easily opened from on horseback – so you don’t have to dismount to leave the yard. It features an easy close/open catch and a steel chain locking system for added security.
