This is a large, antique, domed or barrel top steamer trunk from around the late 19th century - around about the 1880s. The trunk was purchased from an antique store in the early 1960s and has sat in an attic with clothes in for the last 60 odd years. It's rock solid and in its original unrestored condition from when it was purchased with what I assume to be the original green stripped interior lining. It has one of the leather side straps missing though it still has the other one and these are

Dining table: probably early 1970s decorative metal frame with original glass top. Glass just lifts off. Frame is a bit loose and probably just needs screws tightening. Frame can be disassembled easily. 146x82x72 H 8 Chairs: the 8 original chairs are not in good condition. Would require repairs and most require re-upholstering in order to be safe and comfortable. NOT CURRENTLY SAFE TO SIT ON. This set is therefore sold for next to nothing to a collector or upholsterer. Pick up only.

Antique, probably Victorian period, beautiful floral embroidered, balloon back chair, on castors, recovered by an amateur and still needs some work. Balloon Back Chairs were the quintessential symbol of the Victorian era. They became popular around the 1830s until the end of the 19th century. The term ‘balloon’ refers to the rounded shoulders of the back with its nipped-in waist and curved crosspiece. Dimensions: Height: 80cm, Width: 51cm, Depth: 50cm, Seat height from ground: 36cm
