Slabs of Raintree (Salmalia Samonea) Brief History, planted by German occupation of Papua New Guinea near Rabaul circa 1830 as a wildlife park, the property was occupied by Japanese troops during the war and some trees still bare artillery wounds. As the trees are coming to the end of there life cycle they are now being cut into slabs for another 180+ years as unique furniture with a story. A rare sustainable Rainforest plantation timber.
