This Smiths chronometric 'D' shaped 75 mph speedo was fitted to the smaller British bikes of the 50's and early 60's It is in good working condition and is showing only 10 miles travelled (obviously has been reset). I had this on my BSA C15 Trials when I got the bike but found the correct speedo shortly after, so I know it is in good working condition. Just needs the case given a fresh coat of paint or leave it in its present patina. It has a light fitting fitted but not correct for this ...
For sale is a used Smiths 120 MPH chronometric speedo as fitted to Triumph, Ariel, BSA, Norton and many other British bikes of the 50's and early 60's Part number S 467/11/L. It will require complete renovation as it has been standing for years. It is the nacelle type fitting with the trip reset underneath. The trip reset shaft is broken but easily replaced during renovation. These are very rare and highly sought after items. Far better made than the later magnetic ones. $280 firm. Will post if ...
