SAM EGAN vintage surfboard
This is a vee bottom "stubbie" and was shaped by Garry Hansen. It may be the only one left alive as these boards were only made from mid to late 1967 and designs had moved on by 1977. Consequently they are very hard to find and this one has no warping or twisting, which commonly occurred in these stringerless, thin and wide boards. There is almost no sundamage but a couple of repaired dings as per photos.
The board is 2150mm long, or 7ft and can be ridden or become a fairly rare part of your collection.
I would be keen to hear from anyone else who may have a stubbie by George Rice, Joe Larkin, McTavish or Keyo etc.
