Electric Bicycle with Sidecar
I bought/built it for OUR son who suffers from cerebral palsy so he can join us on rides. It worked well until he moved to Melbourne to study and there is no space for him to keep the bike.
Ride it solo or with the side car.
Take the side car off you get a very decent performance as pedal assist...all the way up and beyond the speed limit in "built up areas".
With the side car on, I tested it , PAS (pedal assist) level 3 (there are 6 levels), avg speed just under 20km/h , after 40km there was still just under 1/2 of battery power left. So if you are in a hurry, PAS6 will definitely give you 35km a speeds your friends on the racer will be jealous! The bike has a "throttle" so if you are real lazy... you just have to press the button. There is plenty of room for extra batteries in the sidecar to get your electric cruising range pushed out to whatever your budget supports. We have done about 500km in just over 15 month... sadly 2018 was mostly spent in the garage collecting dust, so it is time for someone else to enjoy this most unique bike in Australia
