simpson 40 catamaran sail boat
The hulls are GRP 9mm ply above and 12mm ply below the waterline with 3 layers of 300 DB glass over above and 4 layers under the waterline. The whole boat is epoxy coated.
The decks and cabin are constructed from Polycore, a honeycomb cell structure material, glassed on both sides.
Entering the boat, the saloon and navigation table shares the bridgedeck with two Queen size doubles forward, separated by a cut out bulkhead and accessed from each hull. Full forward in each hull there are three crash boxes, 2 deep lockers accessed from the bows and a bulkhead to separate the rest of the hull. All lights are LED.
The aft end houses the washing machine and hot water service, then there is a shower, the electric head and basin, then an office area. queen size cabin and Storage full forward.
The aft cabin is curently used for storage but can be converted to sleeping quarters, a full 12' of linear galley space amidships. second queen cabin or convertible to twin and Storage full forward.
The rigid bimini invites living outdoors and so the cockpit combines well with the saloon. There is good seating and a table in the cockpit. LED overhead spots and floor level lighting. An outside sink c/w pressurised salt water, a salt water washdown hose plus second salt water washdown on the foredeck.
The galley is in the port hull, extending 12' amidships. It is very generous in size with plenty of storage space.

Batteries & Electrics:
The yacht's AC system is 240 Volt, automatic shorepower inlet and various outlets throughout yacht. Two inverters, 300watt and 900watt.
DC system is 12VDC and a house bank of 4 deep cycle AGM's, totalling 602 amps. ample power for TV, lights, head, pumps etc
DC charging from 5 solar panels on the roof totalling 500 watts or backup from a 2kva generator on board
fresh water electric pump to galley and shower
salt water pump to outdoor sink, deck washdowns, and toilet.

The rigid bimini construction is large enough for complete sun and rain protection and also acts as a large fresh water catchment via attachable in line filters to the tanks
the stitching is failing on the forward nets and will require attention
hard dingy with 3hp outboard, Tohatsu 2 Stroke (2012) lifted by davits from bimini.
