1975 GC Coupe , Some further info due to requests. I’ve had this car 11 years and drove it occasionally for a few years. The Galant came from Lismore and I believe it was the second owner I purchased it from. I had the original engine reconditioned but its performance was lacking especially with being an auto. After being garaged for a few years I decided to fit a BEAMS motor because a friend said these motors were highly regarded as a rear wheel drive substitute in the Toyota Sprinters. These motors are well known amongst the drifting fraternity and in stock form rev to 7500rpm all day with a respectable 200 HP at the crank. Mine has been tuned to 175hp at the wheels. The original single throttle body was removed and replaced with a quad set up from the 4AGE Toyota motor. Custom manifold , loom and ECU fitted to suit. The original tuned length extracters were maintained and a full 2 ½ Inch mandrel bent exhaust fabricated to fit with Hi flow cat. The 6 speed manual is matched from the same donor vehicle the motor came from. A new Hilux clutch installed upon assembly for reliability. A custom 1 inch white line sway bar installed and all ball joints , rod ends and shocks , brakes booster and master cyl fitted. Fully adjustable Whiteline/Kmac strut tops fitted for custom setting adjustments. Tail shaft rebuilt and shortened with correct yoke fitted. The original radiator was rebuilt and has shrouded twin thermo fans ecu controlled. The motor has a new water pump and timing belt fitted. Interior has had all new door cards fabricated and seats re trimmed in black New Leather. Original door cards with trim have been put aside. New carpet , New Bluetooth stereo with 6 x 9 Sony speakers in the back. SpeedHut GPS Speedo fitted for accuracy. No Rust , Partial resto but not much hasn’t been replaced, Holden Atomic Green paint , Peter Wherrett turbo sigma wheels fully reco by Depulu Wheels Gold Coast with Dunlop F1 tyres. Goes hard and sounds fantastic too. Only done 625klms since being re registered with mod plate for motor and gearbox.
Have spares to go with the car for the right price only. Spent approx $25K over time plus hundreds of hours work and transport to and from paint shops , garages , dyno etc etc.
