Hi my name is Chris,
I offer the following tree pruning services in the Canberra Region:
- Tree surgery i.e. lowering / shaping / canopy lifting / dead limbs
- Tree removal i.e. deconstruction and disposal
- Flexible engagement options (read on)
- Hedge lowering
- No hedge trimming
- Fruit tree pruning / shaping
- Cutting of logs and or branches into firewood for client
- Disposal of cut material at local green waste recycling (via trailer)
- I have a good relationship with a local Canberra stump grinder
Evo Energy
- Please note, I am not nor want to be an 'Evo Energy Accredited Tree Surgeon'. As such if you have received a letter from Evo Energy requesting vegetation to be cleared from the power lines, I'm sorry I cannot help you.
Rates:
- As advertised in Canberra's City News Magazine, my tree pruning rates are $60 per hour with a minimum $200 charge.
- $500 day rate. 8am till 4pm. Very popular. My preferred approach.
- Happy also to provide fixed price lump sum quotes for finite scopes of work
- Please note: Negotiated fixed price quotes override $60 hourly rate
- Flexible engagement options.
- - Scenario 1: Client(s) help with project labour. I.e drag branches, help stack my trailer, even drive my trailer to the green waste with their car so i can keep working on site. If clients are prepared to help with the labour component of the project plenty of medium scale domestic tree jobs can be executed in the one day, so $500 maximum charge. For example, the 11m pine tree in image No. 5 was deconstructed (with zero property damage) and disposed of in the one day, so $500 maximum charge, soley because the client 1) helped me pull branches out of the tree and 2) dragged branches 50 metres from the back to the front of the property while I stacked my trailer.
- - Scenario 2: Client simply wants the tree(s) and or parts of the tree(s) on the ground safely so they can dispose of all cut tree material. Eg. If my scope is simply to get the tree(s) down safely (obviously without any property damage) i can offer a cut throat price.
- Happy to negotiate any form of reasonable enagement with the client
Prospective client tip:
- Please text message or email through a couple of good photos of the tree(s) and or vegetation in question. Receiving a decent photo or two will help me gauge the scale of the job, which in turn will prompt me to call you to discuss
- Please also feel free just to give me a call, and we'll talk it through
Insurance, liability etc
- Insured by AAMI business insurance
- Mindful that tree work activities present significant risk to both (my) personal safety and property damage I'm more than happy to draft and sign a tailored written declaration prior to commencing work, stating: 'Chris' Trees takes full responsibility for all personal and or property damage associated with the job'
- Public liability insurance aside.. if a window (or roof gutter, fence or shed roof etc) was broken from a falling tree branch, my assumed client expectation would be, that the broken assett be repaired immediately, repairs organised by myself and paid for out of my back pocket.
- Given that I like to go home each night with a full day's wage, i'm extremely concious of and very good at avoiding collateral property damage.
Many thanks
Chris

Very helpful & quick to respond

After phoning many arborists around Canberra on a Friday afternoon to assist with an urgent tree removal, Chris was the only person who was willing to help me at short notice. Other people had a 2 week wait time to come out and quote, where Chris was able to come on the Sunday and remove 2 trees for me. The trees were damaging my sewage & storm water pipes, and the plumbers & Icon could not assist us until the trees had been removed. I would highly recommend Chris & be sure to use him again.

Chris came to our home assessed the tree and gave us options, he gave us a competitive price. We booked Chris for his services and could not be happier he trimmed the tree and consulted with us further options. He arrived on time. Great price and left our property in great shape and disposed of excess waste and cut up the big pieces for firewood. Final job was fabulous. Highly recommend Chris. Thank you again for all your good work Chris

Chris was excellent and provided professional service. He was prompt when contacted to remove a gumtree in our suburb of fisher. He worked fast and lent his Ute to my husband who did the Greenwaste run and that saved us time and money. Would definitely use his services again!!
