Set of Australian Commemorative 50 cent coins******2016.
1969 - The 1st 12 sided coin showing the portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth 11. The reverse shows the Commonwealth Coat of Arms.
1970 - Issued for the BiCentenary of Captain James Cook.
1977 - This coin marks the 25th Anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth 11 to the throne.
1981 - Commemorating the marriage of HRH the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. It was designed by Stuart Devlin.
1982 - This coin was created for the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games.
1988 - Issued to commemorate the 1988 First Fleet BiCentenary. It features the Raphael Maklouf portrait of Queen Elizabeth 11. - Low mintage of only 9 million.
1994 - International Year of the Family, designed by Caroline Rosser who won a nationwide design competition held by the Royal Australian Mint.
1995 - Weary Dunlop - The 50th Anniversary of the end of World War 11.
1998 - Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the voyage of Bass and Flinders.
1999 - This new effigy of Queen Elizabeth 11 was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.
2000 - This coin was issued to commemorate the visit to Australia by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 in March 2000. The coin features a unique effigy of her used exclusively for this coin. - Very low mintage of 5.1 million.
2000 - The Royal Australian Mint released this commemorative 50 cent coin into circulation to celebrate the dawn of the new millenium.
2001 - Released to commemorate the Centenary of Federation Australia. It features the Australian 1912 C'Wlth Coat of Arms granted by King George V.
2002 - Year of the Outback, featuring a windmill design by Wojciech Pietranik.
2003 - Australia's Volunteers - the design features tireless workers in their volunteering activities. The design is by Vladimir Gottwald.
2004 - Student 'animal' design. It was designed by John Serrano, the winner of the Mint's Primary School student coin design competition.
2005 - This coin commemorates the 60th Anniversary of the end of WW2.
2005 - This coin is dated 2005, but the reverse side features Melbourne 2006 XV111 Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne.
2010 - Celebrate What's Great Australia Day 2010.
2016 - Anniversary of the changeover to decimal currency in Australia. It features a miniature Queens head and a representation of an Australian one shilling coin. On the reverse is the Australian Coat of Arms. - Low mintage of only 7.0 million.
