Cute vintage Book Ends ‘School Daze’ had these for over 20 years. Very nice amusing school desk style book ends with cast iron supports for the wooden desk tops, the faux (wooden) books include; ‘Reading’, ‘Writing’, ‘Arithmetic’, ‘History’ (see images). As well as pupil graffiti each desk has a pen plus inkwell plus an apple for the teacher. All on a faux floorboards schoolroom floor. From WW2 dated 1944 used for night-time convoy identification this is a portable Admiralty Signalling Lamp, Pattern (model) 1038. It was manufactured by Harris Crabb Pty. Ltd. of Sydney Australia.
