FG FORD FALCON XT TAXI MANUAL TURBO CONVERT
I budgeted this in while I was also saving for a house. Turns out I suck at budgeting and unfortunately need to sell before it’s done.
I’ll list the price justification.
It’s been manual swapped (So you can enjoy controlling it) And has a big mouth + streetfighter intake combination. Exhaust is fully custom designed by myself to balance out torque curve and increase hp (oh and it’s straight piped but bolts up to the stock exhaust for quiet driving. But once you’ve heard it you probably won’t do that. Look up straight pipe rolls Royce 5.4 v12 and add explosions on downshifts with no cruising drone and you’ll get a good idea 👌🏼). It achieved 200rwkw with a tune which in NA Barra world is only usually be achievable with an underdrive so cudoes to me for the design. You’re welcome.

-Turbo Wastegate ported 38mm/larger flapper38’5mm/ wheel fitting/balanced (on spare turbo) (170)
-Tailshaft Centre bearing (250)
-oil pump fitted when sump tapped (400)
E85 444rwkw/700ehp 1000nm 18psi max (with stock highflow turbo, (380rwkw/600ehp 900nm @2000rpm on 16psi 98)

That’s every part you need (except one) and that’s not including difficulty I had with shipping and costs. 😭
These engines have been easily maxed at 800hp! (508rwkw! with larger than stock turbo).
Why spend 3000$ for a used stock bare turbo block ($5000 complete) and then need to spend more to reinforce it to handle what the na can, and then pay for upgraded turbo bits ontop of that, AND end up with less power than the na (na has higher comp and lighter rods capable of 800hp on e85). When the na motor is 300$? It’s a conspiracy. Over east do it successfully every time. Perth ford performance dealers will convince you not to though because they get more $ from turbo engine modification and they don’t want people to realise where the cheapest gains are. I’ve been in lots of contact with people over east who have done it and found it’s a dark world over here and paid the price by going through ford dealers for you. Now I’ve learned and will swear by PZP.
Am looking to get close to what I’ve put in so please no lowballers. Sell the bits as is if you’re not interested in turboing it but you’d be missing out because it’s right there ready to bolt in.
Manual unmodified fg xr6 turbos typically sell for 25k so there’s some extra logic aside from costs shown for as to why it’s priced as it is.
Only 25k for a 600hp 900nm good looking family daily stock looking sleeper with cost efficient endless aftermarket support? Worthit. Look at any other build and I dare you to find any aftermarket car that you spend less for more or even a close equivalent. You won’t. It’s class competitor is supercharged ls3’s but they won’t do 9L/100km after tuning to same levels and power doesn’t come on as early as the legendary Barra turbo while costing 60k without mods sooooo which is more bang for your buck. You do the math 👌🏼
