I've owned this car from new and it's been a love affair. It's been off-road but only with a Senior Citizen at the wheel. Only repairs in this time have been a new starter motor about 3 years ago, new rotors on front (just because worn), pinion seal to rear diff. Regularly serviced by myself or Land Rover, oil changes every 5000km.
The only isues worth considering are that it needs new tyres but I've left that to new owner rather than take that decision myself and there is a slight oil drip from the transfer case that developed about 6 months ago. Having oil drips on a Land Rover is probably par for the genre and age but I thought I'd mention it. Consensus is that oil drip is relates to a $2 O-ring but the labour to get it replaced is off-putting if that's the only problem. Just needs topping up every 6 months and wait till the clutch or something serious needs replacing so that it can all be done at the same time. Top up literally takes 5 minutes and problem affects nothing else.
So.... I've tried to give you the full story because that's what I'd like. Engine and other mechanicals are robust and haven't skipped a beat.
