1) 'Adams Daughter' by Faye Ashley (1982) – 496 pages – Katie Forsythe was the kind of woman who drove men wild with desire. But her sensual beauty masked a core of ice that had never felt the heat of passion. Though divorce had freed her from her husband's cruelty, making her available to the eager lust of other men, Katie's heart remained untouched. Only one man had the power to enflame her senses, and yet she was afraid to succumb to the passions he aroused, knowing that he would not rest until he possessed her completely, body and soul, forever!
2) 'Duet' by Wendy Susans (1981) – 380 pages – They were beautiful and successful twins from opposite sides of life. Laurel – reserved and conscientious, she'd been dominated by her sister all her life. Now she was fulfilling her dream of becoming a doctor, and finally stepping out of Andrea's shadow for the first time. Andrea – impulsive and rebellious, her wild love affair led to abortion and family heartbreak. She changed her identity and disappeared into a frantic world of sex and drugs, and later emerged as a lonely superstar singer. But bloodlines are thick, and the twins were soon reunited in a desperate life and death duet.
3) 'Hear the Children Cry' by R J Hendrickson (1981) – 285 pages – A shattering novel of unspeakable terror! On an isolated ranch, three small children have died mysterious and violent deaths. The only survivor is their five year old brother, Danny. The only possible suspects are the children's parents, and little Danny himself. The truth lies hidden somewhere in the sinister 'castle' on the hill, where a murderer prepares to commit one final hideous crime!
4) 'Magazine' by Diane Masters Watson (1981) – 312 pages – In her hunger for power she used love as just another four letter word. Deidre Mason. Gorgeous. Ambitious. Bitchy. A woman driven to claw – and sleep – her way to the top of the glossy, super-elegant and back-stabbing world of fashion magazines. Cunning. Charm. Sex. She used them all to manipulate a menagerie of rich and powerful men, until her chic woman's magazine finally hit the stands. But has she used one man too many? Was it worth the price she would pay for her magazine?
