Offered for sale is an original Campaign Chest of exceptional quality. It was made in Barnstaple England by cabinetmakers Shapland & Petter around 1850 & was commissioned for military service. Shapland & Petter (cabinetmakers & joiners) were established in 1854 in Barnstable South Western England & traded under "Raleigh Joinery'' & ''Raleigh Works''. Offered for sale is a traditional "cantilever" Chinese sideboard Circa 1750. It shows a good deal of character in its well preserved condition. The structure is sound with no movement. The quality of build is excellent. There is mortise & tenon joinery & hand forged iron rivets right through the structure. The cantilever servery top is elm, the posts & much of the bracing is elm & the panelling, in typical form, is Baltic pine. The construction is solid & heavy. The feet are in excellent condit

Substantial in size & quality, this is a set that is made of high grade Sheffield tool steel & genuine horn. All 3 components present in original, undamaged condition & exhibit a good patina.. The case, which is made in timber, is structurally sound however the covering has deteriorated. The knife measures 15".

Offered for sale is a pair of Grape Scissors in Sterling Silver. They are stamped "Elkington & Co" & hallmarked with the sterling silver assay mark of Birmingham 1848. The weight is 114g & they are 7" in length (a considerable size). They are presented in perfect, undamaged condition.

A complete formal tea service by Paramount. It is a heavy set made & distributed for commercial use. Every piece presents in dusty, original condition with no damage at all. I have cleaned part of the sugar bowl to demonstrate it's potential. The coffee pot & water pot stand 8" tall, the teapot stands 7" & the cream jug & sugar bowl stand 5". Offered for sale is a fine Cedar Chest of Drawers. It was made by Sydney cabinetmaker James Lawson who was renowned for producing furniture of the finest quality. It exhibits two paper labels which determines the date of manufacture to be between 1880 & 1883. A further cutting from a newspaper drawer lining shows the date of January 8 1883 & this is considered to be the date of delivery.
