Appointment setting consultant is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new opportunities to support the Sales Channel. You will be working as part of the team to generate new avenues for expansion, with the appropriate candidate being selected for the team leader position.
Reporting to the Sales Director, this individual will be a highly motivated self-starter, who is able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, individual research and discovery and cold calling prospects out of own research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers (CEO's, MD's) will be highly regarded for this role.
In this role, you will be:
Developing new business opportunities via phone to introduce the company, its services, and identify appropriate businesses within the target market and set up appointments to visit the prospect where appropriate.
Following up on leads and conducting research to identify potential prospects.
Setting meetings with prospective clients at their office or in house
Build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communication, and conducting follow-ups in order to move opportunities through to the greater sales team.
Working with the Sales Director and Online Media Strategists to develop and grow sales and marketing awareness to consistently meet monthly revenue goals.
Managing data for new and present clients, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A bright personality with the right attitude and can-do enthusiasm
A minimum of 12 months experience in cold calling and/or inside sales.
A minimum of 12 months experience selling Technology solutions across Small to Medium Organisations
A proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Must be well organised
- Must be a committed self-starter who has the drive to succeed in a high-energy team environment
A good understanding of digital media and other, related services
Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined sales targets and activity quotas
A proven track record of being able to build and maintain strong client relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication, along with rapport building qualities
Ability to pass "gatekeepers" with excellent and appropriate phone etiquette and a pleasant personality. Good interpersonal skills are essential.
Confidence to overcome objections and convert interest into qualified leads.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce
