Looking for a reliable, outgoing, Jack-of-all-trades offsider to provide ongoing support to my client. My client is retired from his profession and in his senior years. He is still quite active and mobile but has compromised energy levels and needs assistance with some daily tasks.
Although tasks can vary weekly, they often involve but certainly are not limited to jobs such as:
-Driving (drop off and pick up)to various appointments within Sydney,
-Collecting mail and delivering items,
-Life admin (filing, researching and compiling reports for various tasks specified)
-House-based chores (weekly shopping of groceries and requested items)
-Support and assistance/training for electronic purchases and online tasks
-Additional opportunity for regular exercise sessions (walking, swimming, stretching)
I come from a health background in the Exercise Physiology / Dietetics industry and have enjoyed this role for the past few years with this client. As things continue to take off for me, the client has asked if I could help find someone to take over from me going forward. What you will need to bring is a professional attitude to this role and be reliable. Being helpful, positive and proactive are essential skills and a good level of time flexibility. Coming from a health background isn’t necessary but you will need to have a caring tendency. I started with just one to two days per week initially, about 6 – 8 hours. Over time this increased significantly as the role grew and you can also enjoy the same progression whilst working on other aspects of your career.
Age and experience are not of concern as it is more about the right personality fit, however it would be beneficial if you were someone that was reasonably fit and has any kind of fitness⁄sporting background. The role may include some manual handling of furniture and ideally, I would like someone that can assist with exercise sessions as it does provide greater opportunity for hours and also to match a candidate with similar interests.
As the role includes driving, it is essential you have your own car and able to get to Cremorne easily. I need to stress that the role is flexible with reliable ongoing weekly casual work starting around 6 - 8 hours in the early stages, and certainly has scope for much more for the right person. If you're responsible, reliable, honest, have a good driving record, an eye for detail, a friendly attitude, can multi-task and think you'd be a good fit, then please send me your resume (with copies of references), with your availability, along with any questions you might have.
* Note though that attaching a resume throughGumtree only works when applying through a laptop. There are two option,"apply fast" where your text is set up automatically and another onewhere you can attach your resume and write your own individual text.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
