Dorpers are easier to keep than Goats from my experience. They are much better mothers as I lost most of my kids to foxes during the first two weeks when they are relatively inactive and the mothers would wander off with the herd. Dorper mothers and babies are inseperable. Dorper sheep are very hardy, eat a wider range of vegetation so are very good for weed control and are a purely meat sheep. They are easy care and much less work than the wool breeds. Ideal as a pet or for anyone who wants ha
