Hull Cleaning at mooring
I charge a $50.00 start up and demobilise fee to allow me to get my boat ready and clean it and stow it after the job. This fee also includes time to get Scuba tanks filled and fuel my boat etc.
I then charge $50 per hour for my travel time and time in the water actually cleaning the hull.
Any tanks of air or part thereof are charged at $20 per tank to get them refilled plus a small amount will be added for my car & boat fuel usage.
Typical clean time for a 40 foot fibreglass triple keel yacht is 4 hours and 2 air tanks so the job would total $50(start up) + $40(2 tank fills) + $250(in water and travel time to and from your moored yacht) + $10(car & boat fuel)= $350
That was for a 40 foot yacht with 3 keels. Smaller yachts with less surface area in the water will obviously be cheaper. In any case it costs a lot less than a slip and your hull will be able to be left in the water longer between slips. I can also report on the condition of the hull and any fittings such as anodes, inlets, outets, your propellor and rudder etc. Most important will be the report on the anti foul condition.
I supply before and after photos free of charge if requested? See before and after photos in this ad?
