Offered for sale is a fine Cedar Chest of Drawers. It was made by Sydney cabinetmaker James Lawson who was renowned for producing furniture of the finest quality. It exhibits two paper labels which determines the date of manufacture to be between 1880 & 1883. A further cutting from a newspaper drawer lining shows the date of January 8 1883 & this is considered to be the date of delivery.
