Provenance RAAF Richmond NSW. An 3 Pint Water Jug which was in service during operations 1939 - 1945. The burgundy & gold banding signifies the officer's mess (blue is the sergeant's mess & black is the airmen's mess). It is labelled North Staffordshire Pottery Co. Ltd. Cobridge to the base & from my research was made circa 1938. The Royal Australian Air Force coat of arms is displayed to the side in burgundy. It stands 7 1/2" tall & presents in perfect, undamaged condition.

WW1 issued & stamped to the crown by the maker "Julius Jansen Strassburg 1916". The neck piece "halswache" is stamped in ink "BAIX" which translates to Armee Korps Altona mannschaften issue. It is also stamped size 54 in ink & shows the initials of the issuing quatermaster. It is a high quality helmet & is finished with helmewappen escutcheons. An original rating's cap bearing the tally ribbon of HMS Jupiter. It is structurally sound & shows minor wear as detailed in the provided photographs. HMS Jupiter was a J Class Destroyer that was commissioned in June 1939. She was sunk near Java in February 1942 as a result of a mine collision. Postage is available.

The original, multicoloured, "Feldgrau" based camouflage paint is still visible. A rolling mill heating batch number R667 (Stahlwerk Röchling, Volkingen) is stamped to the crown. An impressive, original M17 stahlhelm stamped Si62 Eisenhuette Silesia, Paruschowitz Oberschlesien. It was produced in factory Feldgrun & was later painted winter camouflage. It remains undisturbed & displays a good patina. The liner band & 2 split pins are original. The leather liner tongues & pillows have been replaced. Dated 1915 & marked JR111, it bears the state issued Prussian Line Helmewappen & is fitted with the Mannschaften red & white Kokarde plus the Prussian State black & white Kokarde. It is completely original with no structural damage, repairs or substituted components. It shows a good, original, "parade presentation" finish. Stamped by the maker "Whertmann & Braun Berlin" & also labelled by the liner fitter "Trenkel & Compagnie". It is a rare "Bull Nose" visor of circa 1915 manufacture. All hardware in M15 "Feldgrau" is original & complete. The spike removes & is a firm fit. The spine strap vent operates properly.
