Lychnis coronaria (syn. Silene coronaria (aka rose campion)
This hardy traditional cottage garden perennial makes a basal rosette of silvery grey leaves and stems topped with brilliant magenta flowers, which bloom from late spring into autumn. The woolly grey foliage provides winter interest in the garden. It's very easy to grow in most soils and aspects and needs very little extra watering during summer. Thrives in full sun or part shade in well drained soil. Cut back flower stems after flowering and leave foliage on display for the rest of the season. 60cm x 40cm.
