Chinese jasmine 茉莉花
Due to its strong floral aroma, jasmine can be refined into essential oils and has become a common crop in the tropics. Numerous cultivars have also been cultivated. The most famous is the double-petaled variety Grand Duke of Tuscany. In China, jasmine tea is often added to green tea to make jasmine tea, which is also the protagonist of the famous folk song "Jasmine".
Jasmine was selected as the national flower of the Philippines in 1937, and was selected as the national flower of Indonesia in 1990 along with Phalaenopsis and Arnold. In the Philippines, jasmine is often used to make garlands or altarpieces o welcome guests and even treat headaches.
