1966 Chevrolet C10 SWB - Project
Up for sale is my 1966 Chev C10 SWB.
This is a project which is 100% complete and has already had a lot of work done to it, this does have a 307 chev and powerglide transmission and it does run and drive, although the engine does need a rebuild. This didn't concern me as I was going to LS it.
See following for what has been done and what needs doing:
Fully stripped down to cab on chassis,
All the chassis has been ground back and repainted in no chip chassis paint,
All new cab mount/bushes,
New tie rods,ball joints etc,
Steering column has been rebuilt with new bearings etc,
Both front and rear drum brakes have been rebuilt along with all machined drums, new brake flex lines as well,
On the body side:
*Needs full paint & Panel*
I have replaced the driver side rocker panel as well as the inner support brace,
I have replaced some sections on the driver side tub with replacement panels and started with the body work here.
New parts I have for it to put together;
New front & rear windscreen rubber,
Rear bumber delete panel (to be welded in)
Second hand airbag kit (will need to be modified to fit)
Front 2 1/2" drop spindles with 5 lug rotors (not fitted & needs calipers)
Rear "C" Notch for the chassis (not fitted, was going to register before doing so)
What this truck needs:
Body work -
* This is pretty much rust free, I have replaced sections in the cab where there was some rust, tho there is a couple of small spots on the floor.
* The driver side door had some damage, so I do have another door to replace it with but this needs a minor bit of work also,
* The roof has a couple of minor dings,
* Other than the above, the body is in very good condition.
Engine needs a rebuild, I had the heads off and one of the pots had water sitting in there, so it does need to be bored. I put it back together anyway including new welsh plugs etc. The 600 Holey is brand new also.
Wiring needs to be completely redone, I was just going to get an EZ Wiring kit off Ebay for like $500.
Bench seat needs to be reupolstered.
Needs new rear glass, this is flat so can be made by like a Windscreen O'Brien etc.
Link to the C10 Australia website for a little bit of info on this build:
I am sure I have missed some things but the above is pretty accurate.
