Sequential Gas Injection sets this car apart from the standard Prados as it gives the car more power but same ltrs/ 100ks as petrol. You can fill the tank for about $50 and so makes it super cheap to run. SGI is nothing like the old technology LPG systems that are sluggish and unreliable but has all the same benefits of cleaner running and less dirty emissions. No need for after market valve oilers as the valve guides are compatible with LPG ( like nearly every car post 1990). Always over maintained so in perfect nick for its age. Valve clearances done every 40 000ks so the engine runs so smooth and efficient. Anything that needed to be done was done early so there's no money to spend from the start. I'm a qualified experienced mechanic so I know how good this car is and the work I've done was never rushed and done properly. Super clean inside and out and only has a few character marks from its adventures. Always detailed and lubed up after any trip. Tyres easily good for another 20 000. Genuine Toyota tow bar and alloy roo bar. GME 80 channel UHF so you can talk across the whole band width. Dual batteries including a Red-arc splitter and an almost new deep cycle that was about $300. False floor means you can fit a double bed air mattress and sleep like a star fish. Darkest "legal" tint means the air conditioning doesn't work as hard and your skin gets a break from the burning sun. Light force spotties which are the benchmark in design and are the first choice by truckies as they're almost unbreakable. Only just fitted a heavy duty copper core radiator, did an engine flush and filled with Tectalloy coolant and has a new Bosch high output alternator. All drive belts good. Muffler, brakes etc all good. Timing belt kit done including cam seals tensioner and front crank seal. Rear crankshaft seal done. Engine, Transmission and LPG serviced recently. Drivers seat cushion and back repaired which is common problem in most 4wds (from sliding out instead of stepping out).
I've moved onto another Prado as these cars are bulletproof as Toyota is well known for. Long rego until mid May this year. This is a great tourer and very capable 4 wheel drive. Had a lot of fun and seen some amazing places thanks to this legend. I'd much prefer to sell it to someone I know given the great state it's in but unfortunately no one I know needs it.
This will be a great buy for some lucky soul. It will soon pay for itself in fuel savings and nothing to spend on it from the start means get in and head off camping. Regrettable sale and I'll be sorry to see it go.
