What is the Direct Credit Transfer from TAE 40110 to TAE 40116?
If your units are 100 % equivalent you will receive the credits for those units. But few of the units are not equivalent as compared to the TAE 40116. For example: TAELLN401A/B to TAELLN 411, TAEASS401+ TAEASS403 (TAE 40110) to TAEASS401+TAEASS403 (TAE 40116)-Gap Assessment is Required.
Can I apply for RPL with the older qualification like BSZ40198 or the TAA40104?
There is no direct credit transfer or RPL for the holder of BSZ40198 and TAA 40104. But you can get a significant amount of RPL credits from these qualifications. One of the biggest changes is the addition of two core units-TAELLN411 – Address Adult Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Skills unit and TAEASS502 – Develop
Assessment Tools unit. And also the holder of the recently superseded TAE qualification holder(TAE 40110) needs to upgrade gap assessment for TAEASS 401 and TAEASS 403.
WHY UPGRADE FROM TAE40110 TO TAE40116?
Techniques, technological changes and gaps in between qualifications are addressed and added to reflect the needs of the assessment and training industry. “Train the Trainer” qualification is the new TAE 40116 that accommodates all the must needs changes. So upgrade is necessary from older qualifications like:the BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (released October 1998), (TAA40104 released 2004) and TAE 40110 released 2010) to the new and latest Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116).
The National VET Regulator (ASQA) has stipulated that all current holders of TAE40110 must also hold additional units of competency. The new assessor and trainer credential requirements are effective from 1st July 2019. Migration to Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116) is happening!
How do you know what you need to stay compliant for the holder of TAE 40110?
Check the units of competency listed on your Cert IV TAE40110. These two units need to appear TAELLN411 (or 401A) – Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills and TAEASS502 (or A or B) – Design and develop assessment tools on your transcript.
If Yes, you are eligible for Direct credit Transfer (DCT) to the new Cert IV in Training and Assessment(TAE40116). Gap Assessment will be required as TAEASS 401 and TAEASS 403 are not equivalent to current TAE 40116 units.We provide 100 % RPL for all and above missing units.
What are non-equivalent from the previous qualification?
TAEASS401B and TAEASS403B are not equivalent.
What are most people having done so far?
Most people need to complete the TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools unit of competency and Gap Assessment for TAEASS 401 and 403.

Cost and Payment:
The cost for the RPL is $1800. Payment can be made in three installments of $600.
The cost for the upgrade $1200(TAE 40110 needed) for TAE 40116 ( TAEASS502/ LLN411(or 401A) / and TAEASS502(or A or B) +LLN,Gap Assessment for 401 and 403)-Payment can be made in two installments of $600.
