KITTY GIRL (IF065-15) - rescue cat - *Vet Work Included*
Date of Birth: 21st Feb, 2015 / Rescue Date: 21st Mar, 2015
CAT'S PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : Kitty Girl is a voluptuous domestic short hair black & white (Tuxedo) female cat.
CAT'S KNOWN HISTORY & TEMPERAMENT : This lovely lady arrived; as a tiny ringworm affected kitten, to the pound in 2015. Kitty has also had some issues with losing her hair with life stressors... However, fast forward a few years (and some grainfree food) to today, and “Kitty G” is still with us in care; a very healthy, happy and attentive dame (who is still living with her mum who is also available for adoption).
Kitty G is hesitant with people and new surroundings at first, but warms up once she learns to trust (and becomes quite vocal as far as her food is concerned). Kitty Girl is well known at IFR as a sweet, gentle cat with a confident attention grabbing meow. While her demeanor could best be described as attentive and assertive rather than affectionate, she enjoys a good back rub or head scratch, and - while not one to gravitate towards a lap - will spend many hours sleeping by her human's feet or nearby in a plush katkouch.
CAT'S INTERESTS AND HOBBIES : If there is one thing that Kitty G adores, it is her Catnip Squishy Puff - that is to say ALL of them - as she has several around the house and not all are as fresh as they could be.
Kitty G can happily spend her awake hours canoodling and cavorting with her fix - excluding any other toys or distractions - to the point of exhaustion.
Kitty Girl also enjoys her food, as is now evidenced by her Amazonian build - gone is the sickly wee thang that arrived many years ago, and today she enjoys grainfree kibble and tinned morsels - often alerting her human at bedtime that her bowl is empty. If at any time Kitty G can't be found, a 'rustle' of the food bag and a call cry of "who's hungry" will bring her out (usually from under the sofa or secret spot).
IDEAL HOME : With her initial hesitations, Kitty Girl would be best be considered a 'one human cat' and as she hides when strangers visit (and tolerates the resident teen), a low maintenance mature household would suit this gorgeous dame. She is quite calm about being left alone, and is often still in same snoozing spot she was left when her current carer is away for a while...
Because Kitty Girl still has her mum (Mamma) around and they already get along, they could also be adopted as a bonded pair and any family would benefit from the best of all aspects of cat world with these two.
