Vintage "Unique" Brand Cake Frosting/Icing Knife Probably German Made
This would possibly be the longest frosting or icing knife/spatula you have ever seen. The brand is "UNIQUE" and it has a German style handle. The length of the knife/spatula is approximately 43cm of which the blade takes up nearly 30.5cm. The width of the blade is about 23mm. There is a little spotty tarnish on the blade but this does not detract from it's usefulness in spreading frosting, icing or cream on large cakes with ease. I bought it about 43 years ago in an antique shop in Ta
1924-35 Set of 6 Bone-Handled Dessert Knives with Stainless Blades
Local pick-up only. Suggest read whole ad. Immaculate boxed set of dessert or butter knives made by C. P. Walker & Co. Ltd. in Sheffield, England between 1924 and 1935. I still have the receipt from Antiques Hall where I bought the set and the receipt describes them as steak knives but they do not have a serrated edge and that is why I've called them dessert knives in the first instance but they could also be used as buttering knives. Walker & Co was founded in 1907 in St. Mary's Street

Local pick-up only. Suggest read whole ad. Here's a bargain at less than 50c a piece of silverplate from 1930-50s. There's a variety of demitasse, sugar, jam and tea spoons. One of the spoons has a British Registry No 774345 on it which means it was made in 1932. The 5 normal size teaspoons with the Queens pattern handles (like splayed feathers) are from the 1950s. The large butter knife with the pointy tip finial is a pearler as my grandfather would say - it has a serrated edge on on

It was designed for a setting of 12 and still has most of the blue velvet and blue felt covered particle board plus the signs showing where each of the different types of flatware were placed when it was packed up. 3 Pieces Vintage Kitchenalia Including Fish Scaler/Gutter/Filleter
Local pick-up only. Suggest read whole ad. You are unlikely to find one of these vintage Dalson fish scaler/gutter/filleter in a hurry (or even slowly). Made in Australia in the 1950s, it says it is stainless on the scaler which is correct for the scaler but not for the gutter and filleter which is chrome plated steel with a blotch of rust in the middle of the blade. There isn't much varnish left on the wooden handle. The apple corer is also Dalson-Ware made in Australia in the 1950s and
3 Vintage 1940-70s Butter Curlers and A 21st Century Butter Curler
Local pick-up only. Suggest read whole ad. The blue wooden handled butter curler is by far the oldest of this collection, possibly made in Germany in late 1930s to 1940s. The head and collar is chrome plated steel. The curler with the black plastic handle was made in Germany in the 1960s. It has "stainless" on the neck but I feel that refers to the silvery coating because there are a few spotty bits of rust on it where the chrome has worn. The brown handled butter curler was made in

Antique 4 Piece French Silver and Silverplate Hors D'Oeuvre Set C1880
Local pick-up only. Suggest read whole ad. 4 piece antique French hors d'oeuvres set made around 1880. The handles are silverplated with perhaps some steel content under the plating because they stick to a magnet. However, the neck and heads of the trident fork, the slotted spoon, the pate knife and the slotted server are, I believe, made of silver. They are totally unaffected by a strong magnet. There are two stamped marks on the front of the heads of each of these hors d'oeuvres imp
Vintage 4-Piece Fr Hors D'Oeuvres Set with Ornate Metal Blanc Handles
Local pick-up only. Suggest read whole ad. Antique French hors d'oeuvres set of four pieces in a style made between about 1880 to 1900. The ornate handles are "metal blanc" which means silverplate but it doesn't necessarily mean epns as the English know it. Normally, English epns or nickel silver is composed of a combination of copper, nickel and zinc which is then electronically plated with silver. Epns is only very slightly magnetic (whereas sterling silver isn't). I check by balancing
