Lovely tortoise shell appearance with waves of darker brown swirled through the glass. An air bubble and a straw mark to the base, both are production flaws. Lovely little clock for any table or bedroom clock. No chiming on this one. It has “Made in Paris” imprinted on the mechanism. It has a platform escapement which unfortunately is not working. I have had it working. It has a tortoise shell case and heavy brass scrolls.
