MILITARIA: SCARCE AUST ARMY CADET UNIT HAT BADGES & PATCHES
Cadets have been in existence in Australia since the first unit was established in 1866, at St Mark's Collegiate School, NSW. This unit subsequently became the King's School Cadet Corps in 1869. During the period 1949-51, the title of 'Australian Cadet Corps' [ACC] and the Torch and Sword logo was officially adopted and shoulder patches were issued circa 1960. When worn on the sleeves, the sword of the logo points to the front on both sides of the wearer. In 1993, the title of 'Australian Army
