This Edwardian farm table is 120cm long and 67cm wide, with a height of 76cm. The table was made in the 1910s with a Jarrah base and a Oregon pine top. Farm tables were predominantly made with pine tops because it was thought that Pine would have less affect on food because it has very little tannin (which Jarrah and Oak have huge amounts of). Used by a farrier as a tray to hold different length nails, this is a handmade tray divided into three sections. The base is made of light gauge steel / tin with the sides bent over and hot riveted together (a hot steel pin was based with hammers, not using a rivet gun). Inside two small pieces of Oregon pine divide the tray into thirds. It's a fabulous prim, or primitive antique, and a brilliant decorative piece. It measures 28cm X 15cm X 6cm. The rust and dust is free.

Made in 1906 (based on the RD number) these napkin rings are made of polished horn (likely to be ram's horn) with silver shields mounted on them for your initials or crest to be engraved into. The shields have armourial supports on each side in the shape of thistles, suggesting a Scottish connection. At the turn of the last century, it was fashionable to have pyramids, obelisks, menhirs and triangles of marble, banded agate or alabaster on your mantlepiece. This is a solid, carved, double pyramid in dark banded agate. The double pyramid is approx 18cm tip to tip, and 8.5cm wide along the non angles sides The agate is a fascinating weave of dark grey, ivory and copper, in wonderful bands. There are a few chips at the points, but no cracks anywhere. It's a beautiful piece.

This gorgeous small platter or serving dish in the Rudyard pattern was made in England between 1880 and 1910 (based on the date of the backstamp ). The platter is oval, with an upturned rim and a slightly scalloped edge. The pattern is a lovely green border with hand coloured roses that are reminiscent of Imari patterns. The platter is in fantastic shape and has no cracks, crazing or chips. It is 29cm long and 21 cm wide.

This delightful open salt from the 1870s is made of pink glass with a starburst base and geometrically cut sides to a rounded form. The salt is in excellent.condition, and.is about 4cm in width.

In the Victorian era, pre 1900, before salt shakers were mass produced and therefore inexpensive, salt was commonly served in 'open salts'. An open salt is basically a small glass (usually) container that contained salt for one setting. This pair of open salts are rounded with geometric edges, approx 4cm across, with full star pattern bases and straight cut edges with a rounded well. The pair are in perfect condition. The price is for both salts as a pair.
