An attractive mahogany clock, the case made in the early 1800s fitted with a movement by John Walker of Newcastle who died in 1773. Clocks from the larger cities like Newcastle, tend to be of better quality due to the strict guilds who maintained standards. Slight wear to edge of gown in a few places consistent with age. Very small crack at top of lamp holder that does not affect use. See photographs.
