Hi There I’m a collector of a wide verity of vintage electronics. And one thing I collect is antique telephones. I would love to wire up a simple PAX / PABX exchange of electromechanical selectors. It would demonstrate the function of the exchanges and bring a few of my rotary dial telephones to life :) . It would be an interesting fun project to. I just need to source the parts. Wooden ‘automatic residence set’ wall telephone, type 137AT, as installed by the Postmaster General (PMG) during the 1920’s into homes and shops in areas serviced by automatic subscriber dialling exchanges in the major cities. This particular example is in magnificent, fully working condition. A number of hours of work have been invested into restoring the phone involving complete dismantling (including the dial), thorough cleaning, refinishing the timber, re-assembly, adjusting and testing.

Superb bakelite wall telephone (300 series manufactured in Australia) as used by the PMG in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s for installation in hallways, offices, storerooms, shops etc. This phone is in superb, fully restored and fully working condition, having been dismantled, cleaned, reassembled, adjusted and tested.
