The shifter in this repair suffered previous impact and jammed. It was caused by detached srping and bent barrel release trigger pin. Similar to typewriter repair a reform on bent part will usually bring it back to function; however, the longevity remain unknow as these tiny internal parts were not desiged to be bent/reformed in the first place.
