2009 HYUNDAI ELANTRA Auto, Great buy for a first timer.

Perfect car for a new driver; mechanically sound and has seen less use than the average 09 model. Had the Air-Con re-gassed recently along with a service, oil change and transmission fluid change, on top of a full safeguard intermediate service in Feb 2023 (173552km). Full logbook record as well as owners manual included, tires are fresh as well as the breaks and steering linkages. Yes the paint and interior needs some love, but for a first time driver the paint isn't a priority. There is no

2002 HYUNDAI ELANTRA GLS 5 SP MANUAL 4D SEDAN

Only selling due to upgrade. Had it since November 2011. Bluetooth stereo. Would be a good first car, or even just a second car as we were using it for. A few dents, as you'd expect for the age and KMS. Brakes could do with a machine, but still work well. Just had a new radiator installed. If the add is still up, it's still available. Price is negotiable.

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR: HYUNDAI ELANTRA (2011 TO 2015)

Plenty to like about the Elantra from a reliability point of view, backing up the reputation that Hyundai was trying hard to forge at this point in history.

On the interior, check that the steering wheel leather hasn't started to peel and make sure the silver highlights scattered around the cabin haven't begun to peel or flake off.

Check that the brake lights are working properly, as this was another problem for various Hyundais at this time. This was eventually traced back to a switch terminal in the wiring loom and could also lead to other problems including non-starting, inability to select a gear in the automatic version and even the cruise-control refusing to work.

Hyundai dealers were fitting a revised terminal to eliminate these problems.
