My 1981 HI-Lux was originaly a 1600 4 speed and when i refurbished it in 2003 i converted it over to an 18RC 2 liter petrol and also attached a Celica 5 speed g/box and a genuine Toyota Surf limited Slip Diff center which was new at the time. I fully reconditioned the engine,Rings only as there were NO ridges on the bores) big ends, mains, hardened seats in the head, timing chains & tensioners and so on, painted the block & Head and fitted extractors. The Celica 5 speed got the same treatment,
