A rare Bendigo Pottery port or smaller sized wine barrel very unusually hand signed by Alec Gill on the base with dates 1935 - 1985 commemorating his 50 years with Bendigo Pottery just prior to his retirement. Gill started at Bendigo Pottery at age 13 and stayed for 51 years becoming their esteemed Master Potter. The barrel, in perfect condition, has its original instruction card with the inscription in Gill’s handwriting: ‘A.G. Gill / Master Potter / Bendigo Pottery’. With two unusual goblets,

An early 1900s W Woodroofe Ltd, Norwood, SA clear straight glass lemonade bottle. This bottle is about 25.5cm high with an 8.5cm diameter base. This bottle appears to have been used for storing copper nails as there are still a couple in it. There is also, an early port wine barrel-shaped bottle which still has it's original label and cork stopper. The label on the port bottle indicates it was produced by Alexander & Paterson, a Melbourne wine merchant which distributed it's own wine products
