At Workshop87 we are constantly looking for new ways to work with wood. We love Norfolk pine because of the way the branches create a spoked wheel effect within the wood. We also love the way the wood reacts when you put it into a wash of vinegar and steel wool. The tannin in the wood turns the wood black, and makes the branch spokes look like flaming comets against a night sky. We took a 200mm thick slice of Norfolk Pine and left one of its small branches intact, so that it acts as an anchor,

Two reclining lazyboy style couches in chocolate brown colour (darker brown than the pictures suggest).
