Healthy Dairy Kefir Grains
Kefir is a fermented beverage something like a cross between yogurt and buttermilk, or a drinkable yogurt, but with a much bigger probiotic bacterial community than yogurt. Yogurt has 2-3 strains of beneficial bacteria whilst kefir has about 30 to 50 different strains of healthful bacteria and beneficial yeasts. Very easy to make, no heating or cooking involved! Simply pour fresh milk into a jar with the grains, keep it in the kitchen cupboard for 24 hours, then strain and enjoy (sweetened or
