Antique Estate Made Wrought Iron Field Gates (sunshine?)
$1,500
No,we are not part of the pipe gate fellowship.I love the Sunshine, the Simpson and other definables, but these handmade one off pieces are not exactly part of the same reality.
Introducing one nice pair of reclaimed estate made wrought iron gates.
For the discerning buyer who knows what they are looking at,yes, these are the real thing. They are blacksmith made, five rail, double strap ended, and angle braced.
These have not been presented as a pair in their working life.I'm presuming they were employed in a single gate opening situation such as stockyards or external woodshed sheep yarding and pens.
The exact overall length of each panel including the hinge is 5' and 1/2" (154cm)
Height is 3' (92cm).The combined length should adapt readily to around a 10' opening.
Using them as a pair would require a simple modification of the latch on one side.
They were reclaimed a long time ago and stored.
One is in need of some mild straightening work, and both gates you will notice are missing their top hinge loop.I'm presuming the top hinges had to be cut off when the gates were removed?
They are old, possibly early 1900's but I have no way of pinpointing the exact manufacture date.
Phonecalls seem to produce the best results this end.

The doors legs and flue pop are cast iron. It’s big and it’s well made. Perfect for a fancy shed or could be refurbished easily to put in the house. It needs a couple of firebricks replaced, and the baffle is warped, needs replacing also. Firm price. A phone call will be required at some stage . Thanks for viewing.$500Allansford, VIC•6d

- Windmill wheel Windmill fan 6 foot Southern CrossThis 6 foot windmill wheel was part of the latest recovery project. I was able to purchase a complete wrecked windmill for parts and the wheel we see here was mostly buried and overgrown with pasture. I love these little six foot versions with their smart slender appearance and plenty of sails. This model is known out on the job as being quite lively with very little wind about. As i say, quite a personal favourite that i have watched turning many times while wondering how, while there seems to b$650Allansford, VIC•2w
