Vintage 20th Cent Australian Imperial Typewritter ribbon tin G Raitt

Offered for sale is this antique early 20th Century English “Imperitype” printed tin lidded box, made by Imperial Typewriters for George Raitt & Co Pty Ltd (Melbourne) and most likely dating from 1927 to 1939. George Raitt & Co Pty Ltd operated as both an Imperial Typewriter agent and supplier of office materials, continuing operation (as Raitt Adams) until the 1980’s.
The attractive double-sided design features graphics depicting two different Imperial typewriter models (the lid a Model 50 desktop, the base a Good Companion portable).
As useful as well as purely decorative piece of typewriternalia.
In good original condition. There is some patination to upper lid (much less on the lower) and interior, as you’d expect from a proper antique item and not modern reproduction.
Measures 6.5cm x 6.5cm x 2cm (d) approximately.
