- 3 x 1960s Pewter beer tankards glass bottom NOVELTYOffered for sale is this trio of vintage 20th Century pewter beer mugs, most likely dating from 1960’s and possibly Australian in origin. Two are made by ‘Platecraft’ (lead-free) and the other has no marks. Their classical designs are modelled on Georgian tankards of the 18/19th Century. Two feature clear-glass bases, one of which has a novelty printed image of ‘Moulin Rouge’ can-can dancers (similar mugs from this era often featured a skull and crossbones).
