Claim the MORAL & LEGAL HIGHGROUND by RECYCLING: UTE TRAYS, MOWN GRASS
Wanted used ute trays to recycle into a worm farm; so you save the cost of dumping at the tip. Not only saving you the cost of dumping, but also permitting you to claim the moral and legal highground by recycling and reducing landfill and so protecting and sustaining the environment and reducing global warming and climate catastrophe. See re WRRA below.
I have built one wormfarm [see photos], from old used ute trays that had been dumped. It does not matter if there are holes in them.
I have three old large mango trees that shed many leaves. At one time, people would rake mango leaves into a heap and burn them. Apart from reduciing carbon dioxide and other carbon emissions, there are other benefits in recycling them in worm farms; compost worms as feed for my ducks and "worm castings" effectively carbon rich water holding "soil" for a better garden. I have enough mango leaaves and other feed for compost worms to feed at least one more worm farm.
so, I am happy to accept any old used ute trays to recycle into worm farms at my place; AND MOWN GRASS CLIPPINGS.
WRRA: The Qld statute, Waste Reduction and Recycling Act 2011 [WRRA], mandates it your shared duty, if you are involved in the 'life cycle of a product" to achieve the Objects of the WRRA which includes to reduce waste by recycling. Thus I am helping people to achieve their mandated legal [and moral] duty, and saving them money.
