Mobile Automotive Aftermarket Accessory Fitter (Training Provided)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Automotive Aftermarket Accessory Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanics and extensive experience in fitting aftermarket accessories for vehicles.
As a Mobile Accessory Fitter, you will be responsible for installing a variety of accessories including tow bars, roof racks, platforms, electric brake controllers, Anderson plugs, spotlights, and dual battery systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform installation of tow bars, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment to the vehicle's frame.
2. Fit roof racks and platforms, taking into consideration weight distribution and vehicle compatibility.
3. Install electric brake controllers, ensuring proper wiring and functionality.
4. Fit Anderson plugs for auxiliary power connections.
5. Install spotlights and auxiliary lighting systems according to customer specifications.
6. Fit dual battery systems, including wiring and isolation setup.
7. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all installations meet safety and quality standards.
8. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns related to the installation process.
9. Maintain accurate records of all installations and parts used.
Requirements:
1. Experience in automotive aftermarket accessory fitting.
2. Mechanical background, ideally holding a qualification as a mechanic.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and instructions.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
6. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Willingness to travel to customer locations and work in various outdoor conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Certification or training in automotive electrical systems.
2. Experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
3. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Note:
This role requires the flexibility to work on-site at customer locations, therefore a reliable vehicle and mobile tools are essential.
