Prisoner cell block H hand signed by Maggie Dence (Bev Baker) photo with photos
From my private collection. I have to reduce as getting to large. I have been collecting autographs for over 40 years.
Maggie Dence (Bev Baker) has hand signed this photo on the front very clearly in blue sharpie , the size is 18cm x 12 cm also comes with 5 more lab printed photos from Prisoner cell block H , all ready to frame .
Bev is first seen cold-bloodily describing the gruesome ways she killed random people on the outside. She had done bets on killing or hurting people or selected people to target at random. She almost strangled Marlene Warren, claiming it was just a bit of fun. Bev burnt Judy Bryant with a soldering iron, locked Dot Farrar in the kitchen cool room and also burnt her own hand in the laundry press just 'to see what it felt like'. She ran a raffle and said the person who came second would win a consolation prize. This was Bobbie Mitchell, which resulted in Bev reopening the cuts on Bobbie's hand, which she had got from the barbed wire, with a razor blade. Prisoner (known as Prisoner: Cell Block H in the United Kingdom and United States and Caged Women in Canada and various other titles internationally), is an Australian soap opera set in a fictional high-security wing of a women's prison, called "H Division" within "The Wentworth Detention Centre", which was set in a fictional suburb called "Wentworth" in Melbourne, Victoria The show's themes, often radical, included feminism, homosexuality and social reform. Prisoner began in early 1979 with the advertising slogan, "If you think prison is hell for a man, imagine what it's like for a woman". The series examined how women dealt with incarceration and separation from their families, and the common phenomenon of released inmates re-offending. Within the prison, major themes were interpersonal relationships, power struggles, friendships and rivalries. The prisoners became a surrogate family, with self-styled "Queen Bea", Bea Smith and the elderly "Mum" (Jeanette) Brooks emerging as central matriarch figures. Several lesbian characters were introduced on the show, including prisoners Franky Doyle, (played by Carol Burns) and Judy Bryant, (played by Betty Bobbitt), as well as corrupt and sinister officer Joan Ferguson (Maggie Kirkpatrick). all loose photos would look great framed . will-not be disappointed
