Henry Charles Fox was born in London on 1 March 1855 and lived most of his life in Kingston-upon-Thames. Mainly working in watercolour he painted landscapes and the disappearing Victorian rural life in the southern counties of Surrey, Berkshire, Kent and Sussex.
