Manfrotto Camera / Ham Radio -mast , -tripod, 7.3 m. Model 269HDBU 3U
$950 Negotiable
SHIPPING OFFERED
The famous Manfrotto overlooking Mast: // Camera mast // Video mast // Ham Radio mast - at 7.3 meters above ground you can position your gear high above the crowd , without a licence and longer as any drone can fly.
This is the 269HDBU 3U version with all 3 legs adjustable which makes it professional:
Not to be confused with the much cheaper 269HDBU model with only one adjustable leg which is what amateurs use.
3 adjustable legs make it so much more efficient to use , but not only that:
You can extend all 3 legs for much more stability.
New still for sale between $900 and $1600 - I paid $1200 plus shipping a few years ago.
I used the mast for one incredible project only :
A panorama on top of mt. Warning in the Tweed Valley - Northern Rivers region - NSW - it was carried up there in a protective bag strapped to a military back’pack’ carry frame.
I improved the standard guy-rope system with an extra set , this made it way more stable in a bit of wind. I asked a mechanical engineer to construct a clever custom made peg-down system of very heavy aluminium pegs with a mechanism that allowed me to adjust the level of the top of the mast.
That setup costed me some $300.
To read the level of the top of the mast I had an electrician to make me an electronic levelling monitor - this operates on 12 volt . That system costed me some $450
To ship it safely on my roof-rack I bought a large poly-pipe with lids. The mast will be shipped in to you. Only the bottom wing-nut has the be taken off.
Cost about $100
Due to its length it can only be shipped by courier , the bag with extras can come by Australia Post to save some of your hard earned dollars.
If you did your sums ... I paid $2050 plus shipping for the very complete outfit.
Asking less than half : $950 plus shipping
