Piano Teacher - Lessons in Earlwood, Marrickville, Dulwich Hill
I have been teaching piano for over 20 years. Over this time I've developed a teaching style that caters for most students, their individual interests and abilities. I know what methods work and what don't. My students regularly sit for AMEB and Trinity examinations and achieve impressive results.
I have worked for some of Sydney's most prestigious schools as a piano teacher and accompanist:
St Catherines Waverley: 8 years
St Andrews Cathedral School: 1 year
Reddam College: 2 years
Sydney Grammar School: 2 years
My expertise is diverse and this is reflected in my teaching and choice of repertoire. All of my students participate in graded exams - Classical Piano (AMEB and Trinity) and Popular Piano (Piano For Leisure). I also teach jazz theory, musicianship, and cover repertoire ranging from notated music through to lead sheets (popular and jazz) and jazz transcriptions.
Are you passionate about music and have always wanted to learn piano the right way?
Are you a AMEB student wanting to play to the best of your ability?
Do you want to not only play but understand what you're playing?
Are you interested in learning the jazz/pop tricks of the trade such as chord comping, improvisation and arrangement?
Do you want to know more about the theory of music – Musicianship, Music Craft and Jazz Theory?
.......then you've come to the right place.
My aim is to extend your playing and musical skills to realise your true musical potential.
Lessons aren't only instructive, they're stimulating, thought provoking and fun.
Lessons provide the spark that makes you want to practice more, aquire more skills, enjoy playing your instrument and explore wider musical horizons.
